Story Teller

This fabric length, with the black and white yarns, accented by my handspun greys, references my own employment history and that of my forebears spent in the printing industry.

The structure of the weft and warp stripes is the fibonacci sequence, a mathematical progression which brings my accounting heritage to the piece. Maths is integral to weaving preparation in working out how many warp ends will be needed in order to weave a piece with integrity, but also to give a handle suitable for the end use of the fabric.

With a beautiful handle and drape, my pick for this fabric would be a hip-length cape with a bit of swing!
